| What's New DISC BRAKES FOR THE DRILLING AND WELL SERVICING INDUSTRIES  KOBELT
Air and water-cooled disc brakes for drilling and well service rigs, KOBELT has them all. Air cooled ventilated discs to 144" diameter, water cooled discs to 72" diameter., brake calipers providing torque in excess of 500,000 ft. lbs. capacity and available in air applied, spring applied or air-spring operation. Disc brakes for total braking on draw-works, or assist braking for retardation, both are available with pneumatic control valves that make response easy and safe. KOBELT control valves, originally designed for marine use, are perfectly matched to these brakes and offer precise control with long life and a 5-year warranty.
 WICHITA
Wichita Clutch offers "Kopper Kool" disc brakes for draw-works installation to 135,000 ft. lb. and 40000 HP capacity. Brakes may be mounted directly to the draw-works, tubing drum shaft, or foot mounted for coupling or chain drive applications. Wichita brakes connect easily to manual or automatic drillers for precise drilling and retardation control and are available in air applied, spring applied, and air-spring applied.
